Japanese Penhold

The Japanese Penhold Racket has a long handle with a cork or wood block to hold the thumb and forefinger pincer grip up at the top of the paddle.  This grip, similar to the Chinese Penhold, favors the powerful forehand.  All Japanese Penhold Paddles have rubber sheets on one side only.
