The force at the impact with the ball is combined with 2 directional forces. Vertical force N creates some speed and helps the horizontal force T to create more spin rotations. In the modern  table tennis game, T force facilitates the most of agress and power. Speed glue effect enhances T over N. XIOM rubbers in TENSOR and TENSOR BIOS technology also focus on increasing T without speed glue while improving N and energy transfer dynamics at ball impact.
