FAQs

Q. 1. How long will it take to receive my TableTennisStore Order?

We strive to send out all orders on the same day. We are open seven days a week and often ship six days a week. However, some items, such as table tennis tables and some of our clothing and shoes, may take a little longer to deliver; if you have a specific time frame you require your items to arrive, we encourage you to give a notation in the order notes.

Q. 2. What is the difference between Table Tennis and Ping Pong?

Ping Pong is a trademarked word, like Kleenex™ tissue or Xerox™ photocopiers. Top players and coaches consider ping pong a recreational game, and table tennis the sport.

Q. 3. What are the most important factors when purchasing a table tennis table?

1. Environment. Indoors, outdoors, or both?
2. Cost. How much are you willing to spend?
3. Bounce and performance. More advanced tables have International Federation Approvals.
4. Style and appearance. How will your table look in the environment you will place it in?

We recognize that a table tennis table is a significant purchase, and we are happy to assist you with making the correct choice.

Q. 4 What is the difference between a Ping Pong paddle and a Table Tennis blade?

A table tennis blade, like these offered here https://tabletennisstore.us/collections/blades , comes without rubber and requires the rubber to be glued on before first use, while paddles have factory-installed rubber top sheets and are ready to play.

Q. 5. What is the difference between custom made racket and a factory made model?

Custom-made rackets, one in which you or we paste the rubber sheets onto directly, offer higher performance. At TableTennisStore provide a wide range of combo specials, where we have pre-selected a blade and rubber pairing to produce an excellent racket. They can be found here https://tabletennisstore.us/collections/combo-specials

Q. 6. Do you offer custom racket assembly?

Yes, we do; we assemble 1--20 rackets a week. We recommend you add https://tabletennisstore.us/collections/racket-assembly to your shopping cart before checking out. You may also watch our expert racket assembly YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1Qm_LPZzx4&t=255s

Q. 7. How do I keep my table tennis racket clean?

Water and microfiber cleaning sponges work well. At TableTennisStore, we have a wide range of gentle cleaners designed to keep your racket clean when not in use. We have a YouTube video that expands on this topic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKxRc3Tz4Y4

Q. 8. What is the difference between 2.1 mm and 1.9mm sponge thickness?

Table Tennis Manufacturers measure the thickness of the sponge in millimeters or mm. For inverted rubbers, the thicker the sponge thickness leads to faster shots and more spin produced, but less control.

Q. 9. What is the “spinniest” table tennis rubber?

Q. 10. Where Can I Find a Good Table Tennis Coach?

We are connected closely to the sport. Many higher-level table tennis clubs have resident coaches. If you live in the United States, chances are we can give you a good recommendation.

Ben Nisbet, owner of TableTennisStore, is an International Federation Certified Table Tennis Coach. He offers a free weekly workshop on Mondays if you live in the New York Metropolitan Area.
